Most Participants making Seed Balls Simultaneously for 1 Hour (Single Venue)

The Most Participants making Seed Balls Simultaneously for 1 Hour (Single Venue) counted to 4462, was set by Frontline Schools in Tirupur District, Tamil Nadu, India on July 23, 2023.

On July 23, 2023, Frontline Schools achieved a remarkable feat, setting a world record for "Most Participants Making Seed Balls Simultaneously for 1 Hour." With 4,462 participants, including three generations, we aimed to support the Green Mission Tamil Nadu. Using 10 seed varieties, our students, staff, and community created astonishing seed balls. These seed balls were handed over to the Forest Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu as well as the Biodiversity Conservation Trust, contributing to reforestation efforts and promoting biodiversity. Seed balls play a crucial role in environmental conservation.

Our event showcased the power of collaboration across generations, emphasizing that environmental responsibility lies with everyone. The seed balls symbolize a greener future, inspiring similar initiatives globally. Rtn M.K. Sivabal, District Environment Chair of Rotary District 3203 and co-chair ESRAG, South Asia, and his team of ESRAG Rotarians enthusiastically supported our event, showcasing their strong commitment to environmental sustainability.

Mr. R. Nandhakumar, founder of Biodiversity Conservation Trust, and his team members, who are passionate about the restoration of forests in this region, rendered their support for our event by providing seeds of local trees and also contributed to seed ball making.

This united effort at Frontline Schools aimed to make the world greener and address the noble cause of providing sustenance and shelter for wildlife by enhancing greenery in hill areas. As the seed balls were dispersed, they carried with them the hopes and intentions of all who participated at our schools, sowing the seeds of a greener and more sustainable future.
